Commissioning a Piece

Each piece is created from the personal belongings of someone who has passed — clothing, books, or objects that once held meaning in their everyday life.

The goal is not to replicate what was, but to transform what remains into something that holds memory, presence, and care.

This work is slow, personal, and created one piece at a time.

If this feels aligned, you’re welcome to reach out through the inquiry form.

What I create

I accept commissions that involve:

  • Clothing, fabric, or textiles

  • Books, paper, or handwritten material

  • Small personal objects with emotional significance

  • Memorial pieces for individuals, families, or loved ones

Each project is unique, and the form it takes is shaped by the materials, the story (if shared), and what feels appropriate to preserve.

What I don’t create

To keep the work focused and respectful, I’m not able create:

  • Replicas, copies, or mass-produced items

  • Pieces that alter, damage, or disrespect materials without consent

  • Work intended for commercial reproduction or resale

  • Projects that fall outside the scope of memorial or remembrance

  • Pieces that involve human remains, ashes or biological materials

  • Requests that feel misaligned with the spirit of this work.

If you’re unsure whether your idea fits, you’re welcome to ask

Pricing

Pricing varies based on size, complexity, and materials involved. After an initial inquiry, we’ll discuss your project and agree on a total price before anything is sent or created.

To begin work, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time your materials are shipped to the studio. The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to return shipment.

How to begin

To begin a commission, please complete the inquiry form. You’ll be asked about the materials you have, what you’re hoping to create, and any timing considerations. There is no obligation at this stage — it’s simply a way to begin a conversation.
